Danny Bowien is a chef and co-founder of Mission Chinese. Born in South Korea, Danny was adopted as a child and raised in Oklahoma City, where he first began his journey for connection and self-discovery through food. Danny's never ending pursuits are fueled by the similarities found across cuisines, and have helped evolve the standards on what it means to be a chef.


Drawing inspiration from his formative years in San Francisco—and later New York—Danny has developed his own approach to cooking, one that champions his unique curiosity and serves as an invitation inside his eclectic world.
